Dear UTR members,
As some of you might have heard, our community lost someone incredible last week. He was too young, and touched the lives and hearts of so many people in this community. Christopher Walker, a student at DeAnza High School, unexpectedly passed away Wednesday, September 13, 2017. He was surrounded by his best friends and classmates when he collapsed at school. Teachers and staff did their best to help him but ultimately he passed away a short time later at the hospital.
Jahayra Molina one of Christopher’s teachers at Crespi Middle School states:
“Christopher Walker was a student who lit up the classroom. His “AHA” moments constantly reminded me why I chose to be an educator. In middle school, he would run to the library to see which new books came in that week and be the first to check out the most sought after graphic novel. He was that student leader who would invite the quiet student to be in his group first, so they wouldn’t feel left out. Christopher warmed the hearts of many, from Wilson to DeAnza.”
We ask that you please take a moment and share the following link on social media, with your community, and with anyone you know. Please help support Christopher’s family during this difficult time. This fund has been set up in honor of Christopher and the money raised will go towards the costs and expenses of funeral services. Thank you in advance for your contribution, every bit counts.
